ONGC DAY celebrations were held on 21st Aug 2022 at Scope Complex Auditorium from 1030hrs onwards.
General Secretary Sh SK Jain welcomed all the members.It was informed that Sh AK Hazarika President could not participate due to urgent visit to Nagaland, so Sh Ashok Varma Vice President shall preside in his absence. Sh Jain invited Executive body to the dias.

It was followed by paying homage to the departed ONGCians Sh Ishwari Dutt former Member(Technical), Sh KL Gaddi,  &Sh Vijay Mandloi,Sh Satyambad Patra and Sh Mukesh Kumar Patel who died in unfortunate helicopter accident at Mumbai High, in between our last meeting on Holi to this day.

Sh Jain then gave a brief about today`s programme and requested Sh Ashok Varma to give presidential address to the gathering.

Sh Varma spoke about the activities of EOEWA and informed that with the consistent efforts by Association,Management and SEE there is no pendency of medical bills. Recently we have been successful in getting medical benefits to the parents of retired ONGCians.

Sh Varma also spoke about our plans to celebrate Silver Jubilee function of the association in the month of October by organising a picnic in a resort near Gurugram which is expected to be a lot of fun for us. The details shall be sent on both whatsapp groups of EOEWA and also on our website. We shall be arranging buses at appropriate places.

He also briefed about Gangtok and Darjeeling visit in end November. 49 members including their families shall be participating. He thanked the members for having joined in the function today in large numbers.
Sh Jain then invited Dr S Chatterjee, senior consultant internal medicine, Indraprastha Apollo hospital. Dr Chatterjee enlightened the house about the common ailments senior citizens suffer like heart , lungs, bones etc. The talk was very informative and beneficial to the senior citizens.He also replied to few health queries from the audience. He was felicitated by Sh Ashok Varma.The event was organized by Sh KC Gupta.
Smt Alka Mittal C&MD then arrived as per schedule and was given a rousing reception  and was invited on the dias along with executives of the association.She was honoured by the committee by presenting a shawl and a gift, token of our affection.

ShMahawar and Sh Ashok Varma spoke highly of her achievements, simplicity and guidance to ONGC and how profits have soared in her leadership.

Sh Jain then requested C&MD to address the gathering who were very keen to hear her. She spoke briefly about ONGC activities, welfare and remembered her old days in ONGC. She was again given standing ovation by the members.She decided to stay back and enjoy the rest of the program.
The next programme was of Ms Monika Arora who is a certified laughter yoga leader from Bliss Laughter Club. She not only taught yoga but asked everyone present to do it along with her. For next 15 minutes the packed hall was full of laughter. Everybody had a hearty laugh including CMD. She was felicitated by all members of the Executive Committee.

Sh Jain then invited BKAsha didi, Director, Om Shanti Retreat center, BrahmKumaris, Gurgaon. Initially there was yoga by her assistant followed by her talk on dignified aging. She gave very useful tips for apeaceful and stress free old age. She then gave her blessings by giving prasadam and a teaching to all present in the auditorium.She was felicitated by CMD.
Both programmes of laughter yoga and talk by Asha Didi was arranged by Dr Jauhari Lal
Programme ended with Sh Jain thanking everybody for their participation in large numbers and invite for lunch.
